T'was on a warm Sunday on May 15 this year that we joined a friend to tread the roads to Lucban, Quezon to witness how the town celebrated "PAHIYAS FESTIVAL". It is the people of this town's way of celebrating thanksgiving to pay homage to their patron saint of harvest SAN ISIDRO LABRADOR.

And one way of the celebration is the house decoration contest that is held every year for almost the entire community. Then they can showcase what artistry and creativity can do for them by making use of the resources they got.
Here's some of the interesting fotos :

What really caught our attention though is the " KIPING". It is made out of rice paste and was shaped into leaves and was used as decorations.
It was so interesting to finally see the real one and even had the chance to taste it!
How ingenuity is always demonstrated as part of the Filipino culture.
